At the pinnacle of their fields, our three esteemed speakers embody the very essence of African excellence. These elite scientists will take the stage at Sparks of Africa, offering Congress '24 audiences exclusive access to their expertise, discoveries, and game-changing perspectives.

Dr. Paula Kahumbu is a renowned Kenyan conservationist, award-winning filmmaker, and passionate advocate for Africa's wildlife and natural heritage. She is best known for her groundbreaking television series, which have inspired millions across Africa and beyond to appreciate and protect their natural environment.

Nizar Ibrahim is a vertebrate palaeontologist, comparative anatomist, and National Geographic Explorer, with a background in the bio- and geosciences, and a PhD in vertebrate palaeontology from Ireland's leading medical school. During his time in the USA, he was named one of Chicago's 40 under 40 - previous recipients of this honour include Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey.

Maram Kaire is a systems engineer and astronomer, and Commander of the National Order of the Lion (Senegal's highest distinction). Amongst many other distinctions, he is  the first Senegalese to have his name attributed to an object in the Solar System with the naming of the asteroid (35462) Maramkaire by the International Astronomical Union.
