Alessandra Paradisi, Head of International Relations, RAI (Italy)
Alessandra Paradisi is Head of International Relations for RAI. After obtaining an honours degree in Political Science from the University of Rome, Alessandra worked, from 1987 to 1990, as a Parliamentary Assistant (Deputy Chamber), Italian Vice-President’s Assistant for the European Relations (Presidency of the Council of Ministers) and Minister’s Assistant for Latin America Relations (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
Alessandra began working with RAI in 1990 in the Chairman’s Office, where she was responsible for International Cooperation Agreements in audiovisual field. From 1991 to 1994, she was in charge of the North and Latin American territories within the Department for the Italian Community Abroad. Alessandra joined the Department of International Relations in 1994, where she handled European Relations and relations with the Council of Europe and Gats Negotiations until 2003. Moving into the Marketing Department from 2004 to 2008, Alessandra recently took up her current position as Head of International Relations in the Institutional and International Department.
In addition to her work at RAI, Alessandra is the Former President of the CDMM (Steering Committee on Mass Media) of the Council of Europe, Former Secretary General of Italian Speaking Broadcasters Community, and Former scientific Consultant of the Deputy Minister of Research for Media field.
Since 2004 Alessandra has been Secretary General of COPEAM (Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators).
