Gioia Avvantaggiato, CEO, GA&A Productions (Italy)

A proud Roman but with an international upbringing, Gioia Avvantaggiato has been in the television world for over 25 years. During this time she managed to get an almost full circle experience in the business.

She can rely on her vast experience as Senior VP of International Sales and Co- Productions for RAI’s International Distribution sister company, in which she served from 1980 until 1989. While at RAI, Avvantaggiato’s responsibilities ranged from direct sales of programs (all genres), to international co-production of feature films and live-events with the major terrestrial broadcasters in Europe and in the USA.

In 1990, Avvantaggiato created GA&A that is now a leading Italian-based independent television company dedicated to the production, domestic acquisition and coproduction as well as international distribution of high quality non-fiction programming.

Besides acting as president of the GA&A Group, Gioia Avvantaggiato is also executive producer for GA&A Productions, and is actively involved with numerous Italian and international television industry’s associations.
