Giusi Santoro, Head of Factual, POPCult (Italy)

An award-winning editor and producer born and living in Bologna, Italy, Giusi Santoro graduated from the University of Bologna, having studied Science of Communication. For over 15 years, she has been working as a freelance editor for production companies all over Italy, editing over 60 documentaries, the most of which have won several prizes and special mentions at festivals worldwide. Among the most famous are Blue Highways, The Wise Cat Catches The Mice and Megalopolis. Since 2002 she has also become a producer of short-movies and documentaries broadcasted on RAI, Tele+, Stream and FOX-channels Italy. Among her productions are Mongolia year zero-four (2004 – 2x52’), Escaping-Love (Silver sail at the Bellaria Film Festival 2006, 6x25’ on Fox-life Italy –1X90’ on Ceska Televize –1x52’ on TSI), I Swear – Pictures of women soldiers (2007 - 2X50’ on RAITRE) and Snow of June (2008 -1X50’ on RAIDUE).
