About Us
The World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) is a member-run, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to celebrating the best in science and history programs and other related genres (known in the UK market as specialist factual programming). Most recently held in Florence, Italy (2008), New York, USA (2007), Manchester, UK (2006), and Tokyo, Japan (2005), the Congress’ annual event has become a must-attend gathering for producers, broadcasters and distributors working in specialist factual television.
WCSFP 2009 IN MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
Sprawling out around the shores of Port Phillip Bay, Melboune boasts one of Australia's most lively cosmopolitan atmospheres, with a lively arts and culture scene, world-renowed dining and a wide variety of attractions to suit any interest. The WCSFP will hold its 17th annual conference December 1-4, 2009, at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. Monday, December 1, is the opening of onsite registration and an evening reception is planned. There will also be some preliminary, warm-up sessions for delegates in attendance on December 1. The Congress officially kicks off on Tuesday, December 2, at 9:00 am.
The conference programming will be complemented by evening social events that will take place in some of Melbourne’s most breathtaking and world-renowned venues.
