Chris Hilton is one of Australia’s most prolific and award-winning factual producer/directors who has made films across a broad spectrum of subjects for the worlds major broadcasters. Currently Head of Factual for Essential Media & Entertainment, Chris has executive produced or produced over 200 hours of quality documentary for broadcasters such as PBS, BBC, Channel 4, Discovery, National Geographic and ARTE as well as all Australian television networks. His programs have won most major awards in Australia including Walkley and Logie awards. Titles include The American Ruling Class, The Last Husky, Dying to Leave, Year of the Dogs, The Secret Lives of Sleepwalkers, Bitter Harvest, Shadow Play, Doping to Win, The Shadow of Mary Poppins and The Irish Empire. Recent productions include Miracle on Everest, The Colony, Policing the Pacific, Is Your House Killing You, The Floating Brothel, Ten Pound Poms, The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce, Scorched and Solo.
