Claire Jager, Investment & Development Manager, Documentary, Screen Australia (Australia)

Claire has worked as a developer, producer and broadcaster of specialist factual and documentary production across all platforms. Her work as a writer/director includes the AFI multi-award winning drama documentary The Good Looker, about the turbulent life of artist Joy Hester, along with a number of series and singles produced for and with international partners. In 2006, she co-produced, wrote and directed A Stowaways Guide To The Pacific, an online interactive children’s adventure, before joining the Australian Film Commission where she concentrated on documentary and factual development and production across all media platforms. Prior to that, she held positions at SBS as Commissioning Editor Documentaries, Film Victoria as Manager Documentaries, and the ABC within Documentaries and the Natural History Unit. She is currently Investment & Development Manager, Documentary at Screen Australia.
