Clive Jones (Australia)
Clive Jones is a marine biologist with over 25 years experience in the field of research and development of aquaculture technology of crustaceans. His expertise has been developed for two primary species, the freshwater crayfish known as redclaw, and more recently the tropical rock lobster (Panulirus ornatus). Clive’s expertise has focussed on an applied approach to generating practical, commercially relevant outcomes. He has worked closely with industry, and has a strong, successful track record in technology transfer from research to commercial production, bolstered in particular by an ability to communicate effectively at scientific, farm and business levels. Since 2004 he has worked on collaborative projects in Vietnam and Indonesia and has significant experience in transfer of technology to village-based farmers.
