Guy Gadney, Director, The Digital Project Factory (Australia)
Guy has over 18 years experience in multi-platform media production for major media companies worldwide including Penguin Books, the BBC, the Guardian, FoxKids, FOXTEL, BigPond, Channel Nine and ACP Magazines. He ran the interactive TV and broadband developments for the BBC in London before setting up his own company and developing the massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Diaspora, ten years ago. Since moving to Australia in 2001, he produced the digital electronic program guide and games channels for the pay-TV operator FOXTEL, ran the online and mobile content division for the national telco, and was General Manager of digital for PBL Media, overseeing all digital strategies and production for Channel Nine television and building 25 websites for ACP Magazines. In 2009 he joined The Project Factory, a multi-platform production company which works with film and television companies to produce digital versions of films and TV shows, generating new revenue streams and reaching new audiences. He has been on the national executive board of the Australian Interactive Media Association (AIMIA) since 2002 and has been National President since 2007. He has also judged the BAFTA interactive awards in the UK, the Webbys in the US as well as the AIMIA awards in Australia.
