Jim Shomos, Writer/Producer/Executive Producer (Australia)

Jim is a writer/producer across feature films, TV and digital media. He created, Forget the Rules, the comedy/drama series which won Best Interactive Format Award, MIPCOM (Cannes) 2006. FTR was the first comedy/drama series in the world to broadcast all episodes on TV, broadband and mobiles (69 x 3min episodes). He is a co-winner of the Film Victoria Greg Tepper Award 2007 and nominated for a 2008 AWGIE for his writing on FTR2. Jim is also producing another world-first digital media series, Mordy Koots, www.mordykoots.com Created by Clayton Jacobson (director of feature film hit Kenny). Jim is a regular mentor at digital media workshops across Australia and has been an official speaker at MIPCOM 2007, MIPTV 2008 & 2009 in Cannes. He is the Victorian Chapter Head of SPAA (Screen Producers Association Australia). He also has a passion for Arsenal, Latin dancing and blueberry muffins.
