John Luscombe, General Manager and Senior Vice President, Beyond Productions (Australia)

Originally a producer and director at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation with credits covering childrens’ programming, documentary, live outside broadcast and science magazine, John joined Beyond in 1984 to produce the award-winning Beyond 2000 series. After executive producing a number of other successful series for the company such as Just for the Record and Invention, John was appointed Head of Production in 1996. In his current position since 2000, John has overseen the development, marketing and production of all Beyond Productions programming based in Sydney, Washington DC, San Francisco and Los Angeles. His Executive Producer Credits cover over 1,500 hours of programming for cable and network broadcasters in Australia and the rest of the world including the Primetime Emmy-nominated MythBusters (TDC), Taboo (NGC), Deadly Women (ID) and Lock N’ Load (History Channel).
