Professor Marilyn Lake is an Australian historian who has recently written prize-winning books about the international dimensions of Australian campaigns for women’s rights and racial equality. Recent books include the biography, FAITH: Faith Bandler: Gentle Activist and Drawing the Global Colour Line: White Men’s Countries and the Question of Racial Equality, co-authored with Henry Reynolds and jointly published by Cambridge University Press ( UK) and Melbourne University Press. Professor Lake was appointed to a Personal Chair at La Trobe University in 1994. Since then she has held Visiting Fellowships at Stockholm University, the University of Sydney, ANU and between 2001 and 2002, the Chair in Australian Studies at Harvard University.
