2009 World Congress of Science & Factual Producers : Melbourne, Australia December 1-4

The Melbourne Story Closing Cocktails

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, Dec. 4

Melbourne Museum, 11 Nicholson Street

We couldn’t let you say goodbye to Melbourne without getting to know this remarkable host city just a little better, could we? The closing festivities for this year’s Congress will take place at the extraordinary Melbourne Museum, where delegates can bid farewell in style and take in the city’s rich history through The Melbourne Story. Ride a restored Luna Park Big Dipper carriage, explore life in 1890’s Little Lon, relive memories from the Cole’s Book Arcade, and rekindle the rock and roll days with a costume belonging to AC/DC’s Angus Young. Featuring more than 1200 objects from Museum Victoria’s collection, The Melbourne Story is the most complete exhibition about Melbourne ever staged - and delegates will be given the rare opportunity to have this one-of-a-kind exhibit all to themselves!
