2010 World Congress of Science & Factual Producers : Dresden, Germany November 30 — December 3

About Us

The World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) is a member-run, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to celebrating the best in science and history programs and other related genres (known in the UK market as specialist factual programming). Most recently held in Melbourne, Australia (2009); Florence, Italy (2008); New York, USA (2007); Manchester, UK (2006), and Tokyo, Japan (2005), the Congress’ annual event has become a must-attend gathering for producers, broadcasters and distributors working in specialist factual television.

The World Congress of Science and Factual Producers will hold its 18th annual event from November 30 to December 3 in Dresden, Germany, and will be generously hosted by leading German broadcaster ZDF. The event will take place at the stunning Westin Bellevue Dresden. Over 800 years old, Dresden is affectionately nicknamed the “Florence of the North.” While many of its most iconic buildings - including the Zwinger, the Frauenkirche and the Hofkirche - miraculously survived intense bombings during WWII, Dresden saw a magnificent restoration and today offers a picturesque setting dominated by breathtaking spires, towers and domes. Join your colleagues in Germany in 2010 and explore a fascinating city with both rich history and modern twists.
