Daniele Jörg, Series Editor, Science and Environment, WDR (Germany)
Currently Daniele Jörg is a series editor for the weekly magazine W wie Wissen, aired on Sundays at 5 pm on Das ERSTE (ARD), Germany’s leading public broadcaster. She is also from time to time commissioning science documentaries or specials. For more than ten years she worked as the series editor of Quarks&Co, a very popular science magazine on WDR/ARD. Jörg was previously a science producer for Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF) and has reported for the Deutschlandradio. Her scientific research includes a thesis in the evolution of marine worms as well as extensive work at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in Massachusetts. She has won numerous prestigious awards for her journalistic work. Her academic interests include the image of the scientist as portrayed in literature and film.
