Patrick Carr, CEO, Mandarin Film (China)

Patrick founded Beijing-based film and TV production company Mandarin Film in 2006, and has since produced over 100 projects in China and around the world. Fluent in Chinese, Patrick has produced and/or directed a wide range of television and corporate content, including a one-hour documentary on green tech in China for National Geographic Asia, a 30-part Al Hayat Channel Travel series Ramez Around the World, and many other hour-long, series and feature-length documentaries. Patrick works extensively with international broadcasters such as Discovery, the BBC and National Geographic, but increasingly, he is also working with Chinese broadcasters to produce high-quality local content or international reversions of existing content. Patrick will come to Paris hoping to find co-production partners for a 3D animated documentary series on the evolution of the panda and a one-off science doc about the U.S./China supercomputer race, and to find broadcasters for Green China Rising.
