The World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) proudly announces Marrakesh, Morocco as the host city for Congress '24. Set against the vibrant backdrop of “the red city”—and taking place December 9 to 12, 2024—this premier event will gather the top creators of science, history and natural history content, broadcasters, OTT platforms and digital publishers for an extraordinary exchange of ideas, insights, and connections shaping the future of factual content. The Congress '24 program will feature a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to inspire, educate, and empower attendees. From exploring cutting-edge technologies to addressing pressing issues facing the industry, Congress '24 promises to ignite conversations that will shape the future of factual storytelling.

"It's a great pleasure to bring Congress to Marrakesh, a city renowned for its remarkable archaeological discoveries, rich cultural heritage, vibrant souks, and breathtaking architectural landmarks—a fitting setting for our truly global community to convene," shared Paul Lewis, WCSFP conference director. "This marks Congress' first venture onto the African continent, presenting an exciting opportunity to showcase regional stories and spotlight the work of local factual content creators. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you all to Marrakesh for what promises to be an inspiring and enriching congress experience."

The WCSFP extends its gratitude to the host sponsor, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco, for their generous support in making Congress '24 possible.

"We are excited to join forces with the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers for Congress '24 in Marrakesh," said Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco. "We recognize the power of factual storytelling in cultivating understanding and connecting diverse global communities. Together, we look forward to showcasing the rich tapestry of stories from Morocco and beyond, and to exhibiting the diversity and richness of African and Middle Eastern cultures, all while fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration among industry leaders from around the globe."

Congress '24 follows a successful conference held in Seattle, Washington this past November, which welcomed hundreds of members from around the world with the generous support of host National Geographic. The WCSFP brings together more than 600 content producers, broadcasters and digital platforms, as well as subject experts, and creative and technology leaders from around the world. Over 200 representatives from international broadcasters attend each year, including key decision makers from ABC News Studios, ARTE, BBC, CBC, Curiosity Stream, France Télévisions, GBH/PBS, ITV Studios, National Geographic, NHK, Red Bull Media House GmbH/ServusTV, S4C, SBS, and ZDF Studios GmbH.
